What does an eyebrow tinting appointment involve?

This is an important part of the process because it allows us to check that you are not allergic to the tinting solution – as the skin around the eyebrows is particularly thin and vulnerable to potential reaction.

Following the patch test, your first eyebrow tinting appointment will commence with a discussion around what you are hoping to achieve – whether it’s fuller brows, a more youthful look, or perfect brows that are not rubbed away every night when you remove your makeup.

Combining your preferences with our expertise, typically we will look to create the most natural look possibly by selecting a tint which matches the darkest colour in your hair. This will create a harmonious look which matches your hair to your face, with the colour being transferred across the entire brow as part of your appointment.

Each eyebrow tinting appointment takes around 15 minutes, with clients advised to be aware that the initial results can be quite intense. The colour tends to fade after a day or two, but those earliest days can present a darker colour than you are expecting while the dye is very fresh.

Can you tint your eyebrows at home?

It is perfectly possible to get DIY eyebrow tinting kits for use at home, however it is important to note that the semi-permanent dye requires a very steady hand and fine attention to detail. It can be difficult to apply the product to your own eyebrows and achieve a perfectly balanced, symmetrical finish, which is why we advise that you either seek the help of someone who you trust to do a good job or reach out to a professional salon who can present that perfect finish with ease.
