Moroccanoil Guide

Moroccanoil guide

The beauty market is often subject to trends and fads, with Moroccanoil one brand whose products seem to have withstood the test of time and remained a firm favourite with buyers of all ages. But what is it about Moroccanoil which makes it the superfood of the beauty industry? And how can Boilerhouse satisfy all of your Moroccanoil needs?

In this blog post, we’re going to answer all of those questions and more.

What is Moroccanoil?

The Moroccanoil brand encompasses a collection of products which have been specially formulated using argan oil and a complex blend of other beneficial ingredients. With argan oil a key player in both the haircare and skincare market, with the high level of antioxidants and moisturising elements contributing to the long term health of hair and skin, Moroccanoil combines the best of argan oil with other elements which offer a host of benefits.

Alcohol free, suitable for both wet and dry hair, and able to help tame hair and make it more manageable in advance of styling, Moroccanoil is a post-washing treatment which provides both long term and immediate benefits for users.

The benefits of Moroccanoil

To understand the benefits of Moroccanoil you first need to understand how wide the collection is – encompassing a few firm favourites which include Moroccanoil and Moroccanoil Light (both of which are available from the Boilerhouse website via the dedicated Morocconoil section of our online store).

Moroccanoil and Moroccanoil Light

The main benefits of Moroccanoil, when factored into a comprehensive haircare routine, are as follows:

  • Hydration – consumers are always on the lookout for long lasting conditioning and hydration, with Moroccanoil formulated to tick both boxes and enrich the hair with a range of vitamins and minerals for long term strengthening.
  • UV-protection – this one ties into the previous point but with more specific protection, in the form of giving the hair a protective barrier against harmful UV rays from the sun.
  • Split end prevention – A long term benefit of Moroccanoil is its ability to strengthen the hair strands and reduce the likelihood of future split ends, as well as deep conditioning existing hair.
  • Frizz control – especially popular for those with curly hair and those who live or travel to hot and humid climates, the frizz control comes from both the infusion of argan oil and the added Vitamin E which keeps the hair calm and provides a form of weather-proofing.
  • Blow dry time – a little known benefit of Moroccanoil is that it actually speeds up your hair’s dry time, by making it much easier to manage and detangle. No more constant combing before you can even turn your hairdryer on – Moroccanoil makes styling a seamless process.

In addition to the above benefits, Moroccanoil is a product which can be used on both wet and dry hair – making it a great all rounder to add to your hair care routine, no matter how high or low maintenance your natural hair is.

How do you use Moroccanoil?

The way you use Moroccanoil depends on whether you’re applying the product to wet or dry hair.

For wet hair, Moroccanoil should be applied to the ends of the hair – working the product through the strands with your fingers, being careful to avoid the roots. The main benefit on wet hair is that Moroccanoil makes the hair more manageable and silkier.

For dry hair, Moroccanoil should again be worked through the ends of the hair while avoiding the roots. In this instance, the product is ideal for calming fly-aways and frizz – calming the hair and making it easier to style.

In addition to the above advice, when applying Moroccanoil to curly hair it is recommended that you use the intense curl cream and run it lightly through the ends and layers of your hair rather than the roots and underside parts of the hair. This is because it is the upper layers which see the highest levels of volume from curls and frizz, and so the product is best concentrated in these parts.

Elevate your hair care routine with Moroccanoil

Here at Boilerhouse, we are proud to stock and sell both Moroccanoil and Moroccanoil Light – the former of which is the classic product perfect for applying to and styling both wet and dry hair, while the Light version has been specifically formulated for the more delicate needs of caring for fine and light coloured hair.

If you’re not sure which product is best for you, our team can offer advice and guidance on how to use both products and how you can combine them with other haircare must-haves to create your own at-home nourishing and deep hydration treatments for the hair.
